Part-Time Administrative Assistant

The Village of Holmen is accepting applications to fill a part-time vacancy in the Police Department. The Police Department Administrative Assistant position will be responsible to perform multiple tasks, including: answering phones, maintaining parking records, process open records requests, download and process audio/video files, typing, filing and scanning reports, perform a variety of computer functions and assisting all members of the department and public and all other duties assigned. Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 10:30am-4:30pm but will require flexibility in scheduling. The Police Department seeks a strong team member who is excited to invest in our community, and partner with an outstanding Village Police Department team.

Preferred qualifications include experience in Police operations; two or more years of experience in computer processing; experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and basic office equipment; Ability to type 60 words per minute; strong organizational and personnel skills; ability to be flexible with work hours; ability to communicate both orally and in writing with office staff and general public; ability to apply Village policies and ordinances fairly and uniformly to specific situations; and ability to function as part of a team and communicate well with other employees, supervisors and public.

Minimum starting wage: $18.00/hr. depending on qualifications.
