Laura Liudahl from Laura’s Baking Delights will be offering several cake decorating classes through the Holmen Park & Recreation Department this Spring & Summer. Please check out the variety of classes below. All classes will meet at Halfway Creek Park West Shelter (400 Walnut Dr.). Age & skill levels are merely suggestions. If you feel your child is mature enough for a class, go ahead and sign them up. Class Size: Min – 4, Max – 12.

Buttercream Cupcake Class
Welcome to our delightful cupcake decorating class! Dive into the art of piping and learn to create stunning cupcakes. Designed for individuals aged 16 and above , this course focuses on mastering various piping techniques. For just $25, you’ll decorate six cupcakes, receive expert guidance, my exclusive buttercream recipe, and a list of all supplies used. Unleash your creativity in this exciting culinary adventure!

The price also includes the opportunity for two students to learn together while working on a single cake. Rest assured; I’ll provide everything you need to unleash your creativity during this sensational class.

Baking Buddies offers a unique opportunity for both children and parents to learn the art of decorating in a collaborative setting. Dessert Decorating 101 – Adults
Designed for individuals aged 16 and above, this course offers a unique opportunity for adults to learn the art of decorating in a calm setting. Our beginner-level classes are designed to provide a basic understanding of dessert decorating, helping participants to develop a solid foundation in these skills.
*Don’t worry about supplies; everything you need will be provided for you.
Class 1:Royal Icing Cookies. You’ll learn about the importance of icing consistency, plus coloring, piping with thick royal icing, flowing, and wet-on-wet techniques.
Class 2: Cake Pops. Learn how to make, form, dip, and apply basic decorating skills to craft eye-catching cake pops that look great and don’t fall off the stick.
Class 3: Cupcakes. We’ll use buttercream, color, & piping tips to create 6 stunning cupcake designs that will leave everyone in awe.
Class 4: Cake decorating. Learn the basics of leveling, stacking, smooth icing, and decorating on a 3 layer 6” cake.
