Things To Do In Our Parks:
The Village of Holmen has fourteen parks (100 acres) which offer quality facilities for all ages throughout the year. The development of parks and their importance to the quality of life of the community has been a priority for our fast growing community since the mid-1990’s.
Featured park areas: Deer Wood Park, a 40 acre community park that includes hiking trails, sledding hill, 3 ball fields, 4 tennis courts, playscape, picnic areas, skating rink (winter)/basketball courts (summer) and more. Three new parks were added in 2023: Seven Bridges Park, McGilvray Park, and Pertzsch Park. In the summer visit the Holmen Area Aquatic Center, a 12,000 square foot, zero depth aquatic center with a 200 foot water slide, drop slide, water play features, sand play area, bathhouse, and concessions. Scenic Halfway Creek Park in the center of the Village, features the Halfway Creek Band Shell, Halfway Creek Trail Head, Holmen American Legion Memorial, heated restrooms, lighted volleyball court, shelters, playground, horseshoe pits, and natural areas on both sides of Halfway Creek. Biking on the scenic Halfway Creek Trail that follows Halfway Creek for 3.4 miles and connects with the Great River Bike Trail located in Midway to the south and becomes the Holland Bluffs Trail to the north to Drugan’s Castle Mound Golf Course.
