2024 Holmen Shelter Reservation Flyer & Prices
Reservations can be submitted in person at Village Hall (421 S. Main Street) or online (subject to approval, after walk-ins on Jan. 2, 2024) and are accepted for the current year starting on the first “working” day of January for that year. Exception: Halfway Creek Park West Shelter and Holmen Community Room can be reserved through February 2025 in 2024.
Our most popular rentals are the two enclosed shelters at Halfway Creek Park. The Halfway Creek West Shelter (400 Walnut Dr., Holmen) is available year-round and is heated and air conditioned. The Halfway Creek East Shelter (211 Pool St., Holmen) is not heated and water is turned off November-April.
Holmen Library Community Room (121 Legion St. W., Holmen). Available for rentals on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Full Capacity: 112, Half-room: 56 (each side). No Alcohol is allowed in the Holmen Library. Renters must use the east side entrance, not the Library main entrance.
Park Shelter Reservation Policies
2024 Shelter Reservations – Accepted beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 8:00am, in the Holmen Village Hall office only. Online Shelter Reservations will not be available until after all 8:00am walk-in reservations have been completed on January 2nd, 2024.
- All fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation. NO RESERVATIONS ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT. No facilitates will be “saved” for anyone, until full payment is made. A separate deposit (credit card, cash, or check) is also required when reserving a shelter
- Halfway Creek Park West Shelter and Holmen Community Room can be reserved from January 2024 – February 2025 in 2024 (only all-season facilities).
- Reserve shelters at the Holmen Village Hall Office – 421 S. Main St, Holmen, WI 54636 – Phone (608) 526-2152 or online.
- Park Shelter Hours Available: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm.
- All enclosed shelters require a key pick up the last weekday before your event as we are not open on the weekends and the key must be returned the next day. A 24 Hour Drop-Box is available at the Holmen Village Hall (421 S. Main St.). Village Hall office hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
- Shelters are not available prior or after the times listed on the permit. Clean up should begin prior to the end of the rental time and the space must be completely vacated at the end of the rental period to allow staff to prepare for the next reservation. Violators will be for an extra day if setting up the day prior to the time listed on the permit and lose the security deposit. Enclosed shelters have 24 hour video surveillance cameras.
- Refunds: 50% refunds will be issued if the Village is notified at least 7 days prior to reservation date, a fee of 50% of the fee will be assessed for shelter refunds. Call the Holmen Village Hall Office – 421 S. Main St, Holmen – Phone (608) 526-2152.
Rental Fees
Resident or Non-Resident Fee & separate $50 key/security deposit required.
Resident: Must live in the Village of Holmen corporate limits (must be able to vote in Holmen). Proof of residency required.
Non-Profit Groups: Fee determined by address of renter.
