1st – 2nd Grade Soccer
The area Park and Recreation Departments offer a spring recreational in-house soccer league for Grades 1 and 2 that will play league games on Saturdays/Sundays and have games or practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (3 meetings per week). The program format will not involve travel. We will play in-house, meaning we will always play in Holmen against other Holmen teams. Boys will play in a boy’s league and girls will play in a girl’s league. Parent Coaches (1-2 per team) are needed for all teams.
DIVISIONS (sign up for an individual grade):
- Boys Divisions: 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
- Girls Divisions: 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Days/Dates: 1st-2nd grade teams will practice on Tuesdays/Thursdays with games on Saturdays and a few Sundays. Practices will begin the week of March 31st and will end on May 17/18. The game schedule will begin mid-April. The practice/game schedule will not be finalized until late-March. Please put down a good email address on your registration. All communications with the schedule will be done via email once the schedule is finalized.
Times: Practices will either be 5:30pm-6:30pm or 6:30pm-7:30pm and games will be anytime between 9am-4pm on Saturdays and noon-5pm on Sundays.
Site: 1st and 2nd grade teams will practice AND play at Viking Elementary.
FEE: $90 – All registration will be done online through the LxUnited website

LX United is a youth sports club that offers players the opportunity to travel and play in competitive events. The club offers programming at both the competitive and recreational levels as well as “off-season” training opportunities. The competitive program, for players 10U+, will have tryouts in June and run from August-July. Those teams will have a fall and spring season.
LX United maintains a partnership with Holmen Parks and Recreations Department to share resources and enhance the quality of programming at all levels. LX United’s recreational program, for ages 4-15, will have an open registration for a spring league. While the LX United and Park and Recreation Department entities are separate, we work together to provide programming for the recreational level of play.

PARENT VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED
Holmen Park & Recreation Youth Soccer is seeking parents who wish to take an active role in their child’s soccer season. All of our teams, in all three of our programs will depend entirely on parent volunteer coaches to guide our teams through their season. We will strive to place 1-2 parents with each of our teams.
REMEMBER: The younger the child, the smaller the number of players on the team. And the smaller the team, the more teams we will have. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WE NEED YOU!
Parents that are willing to coach their child’s team should indicate it when they register including what age group you are willing to coach. If you have any questions regarding the commitment, coaching clinics, etc., please contact…recreation@holmenvysa.com
There will be a mandatory coaches meeting on Monday, March 17th, 2025 at 5:30pm at Holmen Village Hall.
