3rd – 8th Grade Soccer
The area Park and Recreation Departments offer a spring recreational soccer league (TRSL) for Grades 3rd-8th grade that will play league games on Saturdays/Sundays and have games or practice 1-2 times during the week. The program format will involve some traveling (transportation is not provided) to Onalaska, Bangor, La Crescent, & West Salem. Boys will play in a boy’s league and girls will play in a girl’s league. Parent Coaches (1-2 per team) are needed for all teams. **NOTE: In the event that we do not get enough signed up to form a Holmen team for a certain grade, players may have the option to co-op with another area team if they would still like to play.
TRYSL DIVISIONS (sign up for an individual grade):
Boys Divisions: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade
Girls Divisions: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade
Days/Dates: 3rd-8th grade teams will practice 1-2 times during the week with games on Saturdays and a few Sundays. Practice will begin the week of March 31st and end May 17/18. The game schedule will begin mid-April. There will be no games Easter. The practice/game schedule will not be finalized until late-March. Please put down a good email address on your registration. All communications with the schedule will be done via email once the schedule is finalized.
Times: Practice times are TBD by coaches (typically 1-2 per week) and games will be anytime between 9am-5pm on Saturdays and noon-5pm on Sundays.
Site: TBA based on availability. All practices will be in Holmen, WI.
FEE: $90-100 (Depending on age) – All registration will be done online through the LX United website.

LX United is a youth sports club that offers players the opportunity to travel and play in competitive events. The club offers programming at both the competitive and recreational levels as well as “off-season” training opportunities. The competitive program, for players 10U+, will have tryouts in June and run from August-July. Those teams will have a fall and spring season.
LX United maintains a partnership with Holmen Parks and Recreation Department to share resources and enhance the quality of programming at all levels. LX United’s recreational program, for ages 4-15, will have an open registration for a spring league. While LX United and the Park and Recreation Department entities are separate, we work together to provide programming for the recreational level of play.

PARENT VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED
Holmen Park & Recreation Youth Soccer is seeking parents who wish to take an active role in their child’s soccer season. All of our teams, in all three of our programs will depend entirely on parent volunteer coaches to guide our teams through their season. We will strive to place 1-2 parents with each of our teams. 2024 registration fee will be waived for those who help coach.
REMEMBER: The younger the child, the smaller the number of players on the team. And the smaller the team, the more teams we will have. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WE NEED YOU! Parents that are willing to coach their child’s team should indicate it when they register including what age group you are willing to coach.
