The Seven Bridges TID Plan includes recommendations and strategies to address future land use, site and building design, road and bike trail improvements, utility extensions, and community wayfinding (signage) improvements in the northern most area of the Village. The recommendations and strategies have been adopted as part of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
Holmen’s Seven Bridges TID Plan – Related Documents
The Village of Holmen has adopted a corridor plan along S. Holmen Drive (STH 35) from McHugh Rd to County Road OT. The purpose of the plan is to develop a coordinated strategy and vision for the (re) development of the area around S. Holmen Drive.
The plan includes recommendations and strategies to address future land use, site and building design, road and bike trail improvements, utility extensions, and community wayfinding (signage) improvements. The recommendations and strategies will be carried out overtime as development or public works projects occur.
Holmen Drive serves as the main gateway to the community and therefore in many ways provides the first and last image of the Village. The land uses and the character of this is in a period of transition. It’s expected that more land along the corridor will transition to urban uses, particularly in those areas adjacent to the US 53 interchange. There are also opportunities to reinvigorate existing improved parcels and public infrastructure. With these opportunities come certain challenges, in this case managing growth and development along the corridor to meet the expectations of the community and sound planning principles.
