The Youth Developmental Basketball Program through Holmen Park & Recreation is set up to build and enhance each players skill set and prepare them for intramural game play against other teams from within our program. Our program combines boys and girls to form teams for our in-house league. The first few weeks will focus on drills/practice with the remaining weeks consisting of game play. Each age group will have a limited amount of modified rules that our coaches will enforce to ensure each player experiences the highest level of success possible. The goal of our program is to have all players leave each game with a positive feeling of contributing to the game that keeps them excited about the game of basketball. There will be three sessions each Saturday. Time will vary week-to-week. WE TRY TO SEPARATE BOYS AND GIRLS (dependent on number of each signed up).
Grades 1-2: Format will be instructional with modified practice game play on lowered baskets for optimal success.
Dates: Saturdays, January 10, 2026 – February 22, 2026
Site: Viking Elementary (500 E. Wall St., Holmen) (Park and use back entrance of school only)
Times: 8:30am-9:30am, 9:45am-10:45am, 11:00am-Noon (Time varies week-to-week)
